    Aaron & Garrett: Where's 'Davante-Type' Production?

    By Adam Schultz,

The New York Jets offense hasn't been consistent through the opening four weeks and, in truth, has only really "clicked" once in the Week 3 mauling of the New England Patriots.

Aside from that, things have been up and down for Rodgers and Co., with receiver Garrett Wilson also not being the star player many had envisioned in the preseason.

But that doesn't mean a monster game isn't coming down the pipeline. With Rodgers not playing in preseason, it was always going to take time for the two to gel on the field, and with the Jets in London to take on the undefeated Minnesota Vikings , A-Rod is confident that a big game is just around the corner.

"It's just the details," Rodgers said on his connection with Wilson exploding. "We've got to be on the same page, so conversations that we have are important, me seeing the game through his eyes, him seeing the game through my eyes, and just going out there and executing. I don't think it's big changes. Things are close and one of these weeks we'll put it together."

Through the first four weeks, Wilson hasn't surpassed 60 receiving yards and had more than six catches. That happened nine times throughout the whole 2023 season, so Wilson is on track to have a worse year, numbers-wise, in 2024.

For New York's No. 1 weapon, that isn't ideal.

As things stand, Wilson is on track to have just 799 receiving yards, and considering that many thought he could have a "Davante Adams" type season with Rodgers, Jets fans hope things will take a sharp turn upward.

So, while things are clicking right now, Rodgers feels confident that the pair can turn it on, and what better way to do it than in London against an undefeated Vikings team?
