The ESPN "College GameDay" crew previewed one of the biggest Week 6 matchups in Berkeley, California on Saturday: The No. 8 Miami Hurricanes taking on the California Golden Bears.

California fans, experiencing their first-ever show on campus, took over the "College GameDay" set with roaring chants that shocked the panel with their energy. Kirk Herbstreit mentioned that fans showed up at the scene as early as midnight ET, hours before the start of the show.

While the panel reviewed the Week 6 slate, Cal fans started a chant at Nick Saban.

"Take it off!" shouted the fans.

Saban was wearing a red tie, which may represent the Alabama Crimson Tide to him, but to the Golden Bears, it's a sign of the Stanford Cardinals, their in-state rival.

The former Crimson Tide head coach fed into the crowd during the show, standing up, turning to the fans, and ripping off his tie.

Saban eventually changed his red tie to a striped blue and gold tie, which had fans cheering for the ESPN analyst with a "Saban" chant.

Saban wasn't the only "College GameDay" member to change his wardrobe. In the introduction of the show, the host of "College GameDay," Rece Davis, was also wearing a red tie.

Cal fans chanted "Take it off" right out of the gate, and Davis decided to make the business decision. He ripped off his red tie , waved it in the air and ultimately put a purple tie around his neck for the rest of the show.

Many were surprised by "College GameDay's" appearance at the California versus Miami matchup.

Davis mentioned early in the show that the crew thought they would be in Tallahassee for Florida State's Week 6 game against the Clemson Tigers, but the Seminoles' downfall, which has them 1-4 this season, forced a trip to California.
