Angel Reese Reveals Her ‘Biggest Flex’ After Losing WNBA Award to Caitlin Clark

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese received a single vote for the WNBA Rookie of the Year, preventing Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark from becoming the fifth unanimous winner in the history of the WNBA.

While the voter who selected Reese took some heat, she did have a solid rookie campaign, averaging a double-double of 13.6 points and a league-leading 13.1 rebounds per game. She also tallied 1.3 steals an outing and set several league records.

The former LSU standout has yet to comment on Clark being named the WNBA Rookie of the Year. But her Instagram Story on Friday was seemingly pointed at her haters after she failed to win the prestigious honor.

"My biggest flex is not having to flex because I'm unapologetically ME and IDGAF how anyone feels about it," read the message she reposted.

It's worth noting that Reese's podcast is called " Unapologetically Angel ."

It's no secret that the Sky forward has earned her fair share of critics because of her in-your-face personality. She's not afraid to speak her mind despite possibly ruffling some feathers.

But Reese has well-known supporters as well, including NBA legend Dwyane Wade, former WNBA MVPs Sheryl Swoopes and Candace Parker and NFL icon Shannon Sharpe, just to name a few.

Reese missed the Sky's last six games of the season after suffering a wrist injury.

It's incredible how one person who has never been a part of the strife and experience of the civil rights movement can play such a devastating role in the history of it. Yes there is still a long way to go but, the advancements that have been made will only be put in jeopardy if this continues.
