Week 5 delivered some stunning upsets, including Ole Miss falling to Kentucky and Arizona toppling Utah. While Week 6 only features one ranked matchup between Texas A&M and Missouri, that hasn’t stopped 'College GameDay' from offering bold predictions for the weekend ahead.

The "College GameDay" crew picked some upsets they thought could happen in Week 6. Matchups like Ole Miss versus the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Missouri Tigers versus Texas A&M Aggies and Rutgers Scarlet Knights versus Nebraska Cornhuskers were among the crew's picks.

One of the ranked teams Kirk Herbstreit picked to lose in Week 6 was the Louisville Cardinals. The Cardinals are coming off a 31-24 loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in their previous game.

No. 22 Louisville has a matchup with the SMU Mustangs, who joined the ACC this offseason with the California Golden Bears and Stanford Cardinal. Louisville and SMU have met twice before, both during the 1980s. The Mustangs hold a 2-0 series lead over the Cardinals.

SMU is off to a 4-1 start in 2024 after beating the Florida State Seminoles in its last game. SMU also has wins against Nevada, Houston Christian, and TCU Horned Frogs.

SMU's last ranked upset was against the Tulane Green Wave last season.
