Tim Tebow Reveals Against the Grain Heisman Prediction Ahead of Week 6

Heisman Trophy winner and former Florida legend Tim Tebow knows what it takes to claim college football's top honor, and he's predicting that a player from a non-power conference could be the one to bring home the award this year.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and Colorado do-it-all star Travis Hunter are among those who have established strong cases for the award. However, Tebow has been impressed with Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

“Well, listen, I think Jalen Milroe is standing out. I think Cam Ward is doing a great job. I think Travis Hunter is playing at an unbelievable level on both sides of the ball,” Tebow said . “But if I had to go with my winner right now through September, I’m going with Ashton Jeanty from Boise State.”

Through four games Jeanty has racked up 845 yards and a whopping 13 touchdowns. He's averaging 10.3 yards per carry and is fresh off a four-touchdown performance against Washington State.

Jeanty is the only running back currently among the top contenders for the Heisman. Milroe (+250, per FanDuel Sportsbook) took over as the favorite this week after leading Alabama to a win against Georgia. He amassed 374 passing yards and 117 rushing yards in the 41-34 victory.

Hunter is next at +350. He's helped Colorado to a 4-1 start and plays nearly every snap, week in and week out.

Miami quarterback Cam Ward (+600), Jeanty (+750) and Tennessee passer Nico Iamaleava (+1,200) round out the top five contenders.
