Angel Reese Claps Back Against NFL Bandwagon Accusations

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese doesn’t take kindly to being accused of something that isn’t true.

So when Reese showed up to the Chicago Bears matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with her own custom Bears jersey, the comment section promptly put her on blast for having no loyalty to the Baltimore Ravens, the team Reese claims is her favorite.

It’s bad optics for the 22-year-old WNBA star, who also showed up to the Ravens-Bills game last week and was wearing a custom Ravens jersey.

Reese presumably had enough of people coming at her for being a bandwagon jumper, choosing to address the issue on X after Bleacher Report accused her of “going on an NFL tour.”

“I’m from Baltimore but I live in Chicago. This ain’t no tour sorry!” Reese wrote.

Reese was drafted seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky, so it’s not abnormal for her to want to support her local NFL team.

She’s the latest of several high-profile celebrities to show their support for the NFL this season along with Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, who’s married to Bears safety Jonathan Owens, Taylor Swift, who’s dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, and noted Dallas Cowboys fan Post Malone, among others.
