College Football Cheerleader is Going Viral For Sideline Moment on Saturday

It is not every day that a cheerleader trends on social media in college football. That was the case in Week 6 as a cheerleader was involved in a potentially dangerous play.

An Oklahoma State Cowboys cheerleader was part of a viral moment in Week 5 after Kansas State Wildcats wide receiver Jayce Brown scored a touchdown with a country mile of space between him and the nearest defender. The wideout appeared to blow a kiss in the direction of an opposing cheerleader.

A Texas Tech Red Raiders male cheerleader began trending after getting hit from behind by Arizona Wildcats receiver Devin Hyatt. The cheerleader instantly folded like a lawn chair and was lucky not to suffer any injuries after the scary hit. The cheerleader got up like nothing happened, shaking off the hit, and waved to the crowd shortly after.

Texas Tech seemed to react similarly to that of the cheerleader against Arizona in the first half, going up 18-3 after two quarters. The Red Raiders improved to 5-1 and 3-0 in the Big 12 after beating the Wildcats 28-22 in Week 6.

Perhaps the cheerleader should try out for the football team sometime after taking the hit from Hyatt.

The star of the game for Texas Tech was running back Tahj Brooks, who finished with 128 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Brooks scored all of Texas Tech's touchdowns in the win.

Texas Tech has a bye week after beating Arizona and faces the Baylor Bears next on Oct. 19.
