The Michigan Wolverines dropped a 27-17 road decision to the Washington Huskies on Saturday night in a game that included plenty of drama and near-misses for first year head coach Sherrone Moore's team.

Michigan trailed 14-0 before the insertion of graduate student and seventh-year quarterback Jack Tuttle. Tuttle rallied the troops to a 17-14 lead over the home team before the Huskies lapped Michigan with 13 unanswered fourth quarter points.

This week's Associated Press poll reflected the freefalling nature of Coach Moore's Wolverines as Michigan now ranks 24th in the country after their number ten overall ranking prior to Saturday night's game.

Michigan is one of six Big Ten teams in this week's poll along with Ohio State at number two, Oregon at number three, Penn State at number four, Indiana at number 18 and October 19's opponent, Illinois, at number 23.

The Wolverines entered their game vs. the Huskies with countless injuries to key players including their best offensive lineman Myles Hinton, transfer cornerback Aamir Hill, and star defensive end Derrick Moore.

With a record of 4-2 on the season, Michigan's chances for a College Football Playoff appearance and Big Ten championship are dwindling by the day. The Wolverines have a bye week to heal up and get ready for Bret Bielema's Fighting Illini in Champaign, Illinois, a game that could determine the way the rest of Michigan's season goes for the foreseeable future and beyond.
