Terry Bradshaw Shares Unfiltered Thoughts on Browns QB Deshaun Watson After Loss

Fox Sports NFL analyst and Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw didn't hold back in his assessment of Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson following their 34-13 loss to the Washington Commanders .

The Browns have now dropped three straight games and are seemingly worsening with each week. Watson, who signed a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million deal that keeps him under contract until 2026, had a tough outing on Sunday, completing just 15 of 28 passes for 135 yards, one touchdown, and a fumble, while being sacked seven times against one of the NFL's worst-ranked pass defenses.

Given the team's struggles, many are beginning to question whether it's time for the Browns to consider a change at quarterback—and Terry Bradshaw is among those advocating for a reevaluation.

"Do you put Watson down now? He has not played well since he's been in Cleveland, simply not played well." Bradshaw said.

Now, all jokes aside, while the rest of the panel chuckled at his remarks, the reality for Watson and the Browns is quite serious. They find themselves in a precarious situation, because if they decide to bench him, they'd be paying a backup quarterback over a million dollars this year and an astonishing $46 million in each of the next two seasons—all fully guaranteed.

So far this season, Watson has recorded a 61.5% completion percentage, amassing 726 passing yards, four touchdowns, three interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 74.4.

Statistically, he has been among the least effective quarterbacks in the league, and tensions are escalating in Cleveland as fans and analysts alike express their frustration with his performance.

Terrible move to acquire him by the front office. Who’s responsible for this horrible decision to pay millions for a qb past his prime ? Browns are a last place team!!! AGAIN!!!
