As Denver Broncos fans witnessed during the Sean Payton-Russell Wilson era, the franchise’s head coach has no problem wearing his emotions on his sleeve. And from the look of it, Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix is more than willing to do the same.

During Denver's Week 5 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, with the team holding a 20-10 lead in the third quarter, it appeared Payton and Nix disagreed about something.

As Nix came to the sideline, he was stopped by Payton, who immediately began discussing something with the rookie. Nix was animated while responding to his head coach, and the two proceeded to go back and forth briefly.

From the looks of it, Payton and Nix's interaction didn't get overly heated, and the duo went their separate ways shortly after.

Nix, the No. 12 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was named the Broncos' starter before the season and has shown glimpses of the upside fans saw in college, but statistically has struggled to turn the corner.

In the four games before Sunday's matchup with the Raiders, Nix had completed 60.1 percent of his passes for 660 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. However, all four interceptions came over the first two weeks of the season. Nix also has two rushing touchdowns to this point in 2024.
