If anyone outside the Dallas Cowboys locker room knows the ins and outs of Dak Prescott’s approach before games, it’s Jason Garrett.

Garrett, who became the Cowboys' full-time head coach in 2011 after an interim stint the year before, spent four years with Prescott as his starting quarterback. Prescott started every game while Garrett was his head coach from 2016 to 2019.

So when the Cowboys' Week 5 Sunday Night Football matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers went into a weather delay due to lightning, Garrett offered some insight into the approach typically taken with players.

He also offered a specific opinion of what Prescott may have done during the delay while speaking on NBC Sports' Football Night in America.

"It wouldn't be surprising if Dak Prescott had a little hamper basketball going right now," Garrett said. "That kind of stuff just to keep everybody loose."

Maybe Prescott was a big hamper basketball fan during his shared time with Garrett on the Cowboys. Or maybe the former coach was just lobbing out one very specific idea of how to pass the time during a weather delay.

Regardless, the Cowboys and Steelers Week 5 matchup eventually started around 9:45 p.m. ET, following a delay that lasted roughly an hour and 25 minutes.
