Dodgers Star Mookie Betts Drops ‘Terrible’ Admission Amid Postseason Woes

The Los Angeles Dodgers are suddenly in a 1-1 tie with the San Diego Padres. Game 3 of the NLDS takes place on Tuesday night as the series shifts to San Diego.

The Dodgers took Game 1 on Saturday, but the Padres came roaring back with a 10-2 blowout win in Game 2.

One area of concern for the Dodgers is Mookie Betts, who has struggled to get anything going offensively so far.

Betts went 0-for-4 on Sunday, and he now is hitless in his last 22 postseason at-bats. On Saturday, Betts walked three times and scored a run, but he still does not have a hit.

After the Game 2 loss, Betts had an honest take on his latest woes, per Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register.

"They’re all outs," Betts said about the quality of his at-bats. "So they’re all terrible. I don’t know really what to say about it. I’m giving my best, doing my best. Obviously it’s not good enough right now."

Betts had a strong season, hitting .289 with 19 home runs and 75 RBI in just 116 games.

However, Betts went hitless in the 2023 postseason as the Dodgers lost in three games to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

In the 2022 postseason, Betts played four games and hit just .143.

So, it has been a concerning trend for Betts in October, and it has not gotten any better to start the 2024 postseason.

The Dodgers as a whole had just five hits in Game 2, with Max Muncy accounting for two of those.

The struggles of the postseason continue to bother Mookie Betts, and he will look to buck that trend during Game 3.
