The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder will start preseason play on Monday night. The Thunder are expected to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference, and the Spurs, who are still a year or two away from contention, are their bidding rivals, in large part due to Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama.

Here's everything you need to know before tipoff, including what channel the game is on, injury reports for both teams and betting odds, courtesy of FanDuel.

While Vassell is the only Spur listed as out, there is a solid chance that Bassey will not play.

"I don't know if that's going to translate right away to the game, playing, but we're going to see how they react to these practices this week," said Gregg Popovich about both Bassey and Zach Collins, who spent the summer recovering from injuries.

As the Spurs search to see who can fill in for Vassell to start the season, expect Blake Wesley, Malaki Branham, Stephon Castle, and Keldon Johnson to all play extended minutes in the preseason opener.
