Davante Adams Reportedly on Verge of Trade as Timeline Emerges

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been at the center of trade rumors, with a potential deal looming soon. After missing the last two games due to a hamstring injury, reports have surfaced revealing when a trade could happen.

The three-time All-Pro has expressed his desire to be traded, frustrated by the Raiders' inability to contend and the inconsistency of his connection with the team's quarterbacks.

Despite being under a five-year, $140 million contract, Adams is seeking a fresh start, with teams like the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints reportedly showing interest.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport revealed on Monday morning that a trade could happen soon—possibly as early as today.

“It could be today, could be tomorrow,” Rapoport said on " Good Morning Football ." “That’s how quickly this thing could happen.”

Rapoport mentioned the Jets and Saints as potential landing spots for Adams, with both teams in need of a boost at wide receiver.

“Help could be on the way for the New York Jets,” Rapoport added.

The Jets have struggled offensively in recent weeks, losing two straight games and scoring just 26 points in that stretch. Adams has a well-known close relationship with his former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is now with the Jets, fueling speculation of a possible reunion in New York.

However, according to Rapoport, it's the Saints who have been the most active in pursuing Adams.

“The Saints have actually been the most aggressive team in talking to the Raiders about Davante Adams,” Rapoport said. “But the Jets are definitely in the mix.”

As Adams' future hangs in the balance, all eyes are on the Raiders to see which team lands the star receiver.
