Raiders Deliver Blunt 2-Word Update on Davante Adams Trade Talks

Davante Adams remains a member of the Las Vegas Raiders but negotiations are expected to heat up this week with interested teams around the league.

Despite an unstable quarterback situation over the past few years, Adams has remained a top-tier threat in the Raiders' passing game. In 37 games with the team, Adams has amassed 2,869 receiving yards, 221 receptions, and 23 touchdowns.

However, his relationship with the franchise has quickly deteriorated, leading Adams to seek a fresh start. The star receiver has officially requested a trade from the Raiders. Las Vegas originally acquired Adams in 2022, giving up first- and second-round picks to the Green Bay Packers in the blockbuster deal.

When asked for an update on the Adams trade talks, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce gave a short response.

"Status quo," Pierce said .

Pierce was also asked about when he thought things started to go awry with Adams. He didn't have much to say on that either.

"I don't know. You'd have to ask Davante," Pierce said.

The Raiders are reportedly seeking a second-round pick in exchange for Adams. It's been deemed a high price, considering he's under contract through the 2026 season .

Adams has been sidelined the last two weeks with a hamstring injury. Prior to the injury, he had 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown this season.
