ESPN Experts Unanimously Pick Oregon to Make College Football Playoff

ESPN's college football experts unveiled their 12-team playoff predictions on Sunday, and Oregon was included in each expert's prediction.

Currently sitting at 5-0 and 2-0 in Big Ten play, the Ducks are certainly on pace to make the playoff as one of just 12 remaining unbeaten teams across all of college football.

As a result, each of ESPN's experts had Oregon not only inside their projection, but inside their top-seven on Sunday.

Most experts, including Andrea Adelson, Kyle Bonagura, David Hale, Chris Low, Harry Lyles Jr., Adam Rittenberg, Mark Schlabach, Jake Trotter, Paolo Uggetti and David Wilson, had the Ducks seeded fifth of the twelve playoff teams.

Meanwhile, Bill Connelly had Oregon ranked sixth and Eli Lederman had the Ducks ranked seventh.

Outside of Oregon, Texas, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama and Penn State were also unanimous selections.

Meanwhile, Boise State, a team the Ducks beat in week two, is trending toward its own playoff appearance. The Broncos were picked by eight of ESPN's 12 experts to represent the group of five conferences in the playoff.

Since ESPN released its preseason playoff predictions back in August, Oregon has been a consistent unanimous selection despite eyebrow-raising performances against Idaho and Boise State.

In the day and age of the 12-team playoff, both losses and near-losses mean much less in terms of hurting a teams playoff chances.

The Ducks will be in action on Saturday as they host Ohio State. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. PST.
