FOX Issues Announcement After Big Oregon-Michigan State Clash

There were quite a few big games that took place in Week 6 of the 2024 college football season, and the action got underway early on Friday, as Oregon and Michigan State battled in a game broadcast on FOX.

The game wasn't all that suspenseful, as the Ducks cruised to a 31-10 victory over the Spartans, but given Oregon's billing as one of the top teams in the nation, millions of fans tuned in to watch this game.

As it turns out, though, this contest ended up becoming one of the most watched college football games of the season. On Monday, FOX revealed that a staggering 2.48 million viewers tuned in for this Friday night clash, making it the ninth-most watched game of the year.

While the viewership numbers from every game aren't released, this is a huge win for FOX, especially considering the Spartans aren't the best team, and the game was on a Friday night rather than being a typical Saturday game.

Oregon is one of the most exciting teams in the country, though, and they are drawing millions of viewers every single time they take the field, regardless of what time their game is at, or who they are playing.

And yet, while this game drew in a pretty substantial number of viewers, chances are Oregon's Week 7 matchup against Ohio State will draw in even more fans, as it could potentially become the most-viewed game of the season.
