Davante Adams Fuels Trade Talk After Suddenly Canceling Plans

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been involved in intensifying trade speculation for the last two weeks.

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce stoked the fire on Monday with his non-answer to a question about what ultimately went wrong between Adams and the team.

"I don't know," Pierce told reporters . "You gotta ask Davante that."

Later on Monday night, Kay Adams, host of the popular "Up & Adams" show, shared with her more than 650,000 X followers that Davante Adams would join her for a guest appearance on Tuesday.

However, 45 minutes later, she provided an eyebrow-raising update.

"Oh boy - lots happening at the moment with our guy Adams … he won’t be on TOMORROW," Kay Adams wrote on X. "Sorry bout that and stay tuned. 👀"

The now-viral post was viewed more than one million times in its first hour on the platform.

The canceled plans coincide with reporting from The Athletic's Diana Russini on Monday that suggested, "As far as the Raiders and the receiver are concerned, they want him to have a new home some time in the next 48 hours."

Fellow NFL insider Jordan Schultz is also reporting that the Raiders are seeking a second-round pick plus additional draft capital as compensation for Adams, who hasn't suited up since Week 3 due to a hamstring injury.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport , the 31-year-old All-Pro wideout would prefer to be moved to the New York Jets to reunite with his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
