Travis Kelce, Chiefs Receivers Silence Doubters in Win vs. Saints

For the first time since 2018, the Kansas City Chiefs are 5-0 after defeating the New Orleans Saints, 26-13, on "Monday Night Football."

After scoring a touchdown on their opening drive to take an early 7-0 lead, the Chiefs never trailed, as their offense kept command throughout the night with 460 total yards.

Heading into the game, the Chiefs' receiving corps faced a lot of questions after top weapon Rashee Rice went down in Week 4 with a knee injury. While tight end Travis Kelce was often considered one of the most consistent and reliable weapons in the league in his career, he struggled to make an impact through Kansas City's first few games.

However, those concerns were likely silenced on Monday night, as Kelce finished the game with nine catches for 70 yards, putting up a vintage performance. The real standout of the Chiefs' offense, though, was JuJu Smith-Schuster, who led all receivers with 130 yards on seven catches.

Rookie receiver Xavier Worthy was also able to get into the end zone for the second-straight week, and running back Kareem Hunt looked very comfortable in his return to Arrowhead Stadium, picking up 102 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Overall, the Chiefs' offense had their most productive night of the season, as they reached the red zone on seven of their 10 drives. While some might be concerned that they were only able to get two touchdowns out of the seven trips, it's still a massive improvement from earlier games.

The Chiefs are off in Week 6 while they enjoy their bye week before preparing for San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 20 on the road.
