Joe Buck carefully chose his words about Taylor Swift during Monday Night Football as the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the New Orleans Saints.

Swift showed up at Arrowhead Stadium for the prime-time matchup, drawing attention as she supported her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. She has attended all of Kansas City's home games this season, including matchups against the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.

However, she opted not to attend the Chiefs' Week 3 Sunday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons, and also missed their road game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

At the end of the first half, Buck and Aikman had a lighthearted exchange after a big play from Kelce with the camera panned on Swift. Aikman quipped, "The missus likes it," referring to the play, prompting Buck to clarify that they are not married.

Buck then shared that his daughter had warned him before the broadcast to limit any Swift jokes.

"My daughters have warned me multiple times today, 'Dad, I know you think you’re funny," Buck said. "Don’t make any jokes.'"

Buck previously talked about how Swift's presence impacts NFL game coverage, noting that he's a fan of the extra attention it brings to matchups. He sees it as a positive for both the sport and the broader audience it attracts.

"She moves the needle, and you can’t deny that. This is a business," Buck said in an interview with The Athletic. "We’re all in the business of television and making a television show and making it interesting and showing all that we can show and getting the most people to watch.

Kelce finished with a season-high nine receptions for 70 yards. He's still yet to find the end zone, but after a slow start to the season, Kelce seems to be getting more into the rhythm of things. Kelce has 24 receptions for 228 yards this season.
