Browns’ Deshaun Watson Reported to Settle Lawsuit

Off the field, recent reports are that Watson has settled a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault and battery. Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the accuser, confirmed the confidential settlement earlier this week.

The lawsuit, filed four weeks ago, had raised concerns about a potential suspension for Watson under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy, but the confidentiality of the settlement likely means the league will not pursue further action.
