The NFL world was thrown for a loop on Tuesday morning when it was officially announced that the New York Jets were parting ways with head coach Robert Saleh after five games in the 2024 season.

While many speculated about who drove the firing, and who the next head coach of the team would be, others thought about the instant entertainment that was sure to come, with one major realization: QB Aaron Rodgers was scheduled for his weekly interview on The Pat McAfee Show later on Tuesday afternoon.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that will be happening, though, for now.

McAfee took to social media to announce that Rodgers' weekly appearance would be delayed until Wednesday.

The weekly appearances by Rodgers — which he gets paid $1 million per year to do — have been incredibly entertaining, and this one projects to be no different. We've seen the Jets' QB willing to open up on certain subject, and a lot of news and headlines have been derived from those talks.

It's understandable that, following the firing, Rodgers would want to take a day and get his ducks in order before being asked questions about the situation. In the end, he doesn't want to say anything that's going to get himself, or his team in trouble.

Meanwhile, all of us will sit and wait until he does go onto McAfee's show on Wednesday, and get the popcorn ready.
