Texas Star Has Hilarious Response to Being Heavily Favored Against Oklahoma

The No. 1 Texas Longhorns may be riding high into Saturday's Red River Rivalry against the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners, but the team is doing its best to avoid getting caught up in the buzz.

The Longhorns have looked like the best team in college football this season, even with quarterback Quinn Ewers being sidelined for the past 2.5 games with an oblique injury. They rank within the top 10 in both total offense and defense, and Ewers is set to return for Saturday's bout, which is likely one of the main reasons oddsmakers have them favored so heavily.

According to ESPN, the Longhorns are 14.5-point favorites heading into Saturday, with an 85.2% chance of winning. However,  the team's star linebacker, David Gbenda, isn't worried about what the oddsmakers think, nor does he appear to know who they are.

When asked by the media how he felt about Texas being favored by two scores, Gbenda revealed he appreciated the support but that, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter.

Once Gbenda heard the word gambling, it was evident that he wanted no part of the question.

Instead, he is likely more focused on getting revenge for last year's heartbreaking loss that saw Texas lose in the final seconds.
