JJ McCarthy's Girlfriend Sent Emotional Message for Vikings QB

Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy has yet to play in a regular-season game in the NFL. The first-year pro from the Michigan Wolverines football program suffered a torn meniscus injury in his right knee while preparing for the 2024 NFL campaign. He underwent surgery to repair that injury, so he’s spending his time away from the field in the meantime.

While he’s unable to play, his girlfriend, Katya Kuropas, has always been there to support him. On Tuesday, the pair celebrated their sixth anniversary, with Kuropas sharing a heartfelt message to McCarthy.

“6 years but feels like I've known you forever,” Kuropas wrote as a caption for an Instagram Story showing her and McCarthy together.

“ I love so much and am beyond grateful for the life we have built so far Can't wait to spend forever with you!!

McCarthy and Kuropas go way back, as they first met in high school, according to Rebecca Aizin of People.com .

In January 2024, the two got engaged after McCarthy proposed to Kuropas on a beach. That was also after McCarthy helped the Wolverines win the national title, as Michigan defeated the Washington Huskies in the National Championship Game. Months later, McCarthy was selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.
