Preseason Spurs vs. Magic: 3 Best Bets

    By Jonah Kubicek,

The San Antonio Spurs are still looking for their first preseason win after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, 112-107. The Orlando Magic also lost their preseason opener, falling to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Both Victor Wembanyama and Chris Paul are expected to make their preseason debuts tonight, making this matchup one of the rare must-watch preseason games of the season. Devin Vassell remains out for the Spurs, and he will be joined on the bench by Nathan Mensah, Zach Collins, Charles Bassey, and David Duke Jr.

    Best Bets

Wembanyama Prop Bet: Victor Wembanyama 2+ made threes (+142)

In each of his two career games against the Magic, Wembanyama hit two threes. It's preseason, so expect him to play easy, conservative basketball, which means he should be avoiding getting physical down low and instead settle for some outside shots. With bonafide ball-movers in Chris Paul, Tre Jones, Stephon Castle, and even Blake Wesley, the Spurs should be able to get their star plenty of open looks.

Passing Prop Bet: Jeremy Sochan to record 4+ assists (+120)

In his preseason debut against the Thunder, Sochan racked up four assists, and we're expecting him to do it again tonight. He will be surrounded by more scoring options and will likely handle the ball more, given that Vassell is out. All his teammates need to do is make some shots.

Opponent Bet: Paolo Banchero to record 6+ rebounds (+230)

All of our bets today are slightly risky, but Banchero is poised for a big night, provided the Magic allow him to play plenty of minutes. He only had three boards in the preseason opener, but with Carter Jr. sitting, Banchero might spend some time as a small-ball center. Last season, he averaged seven rebounds per game against the Spurs.
