Jacob Sexton says his team is ‘fired up for this game’

Oklahoma’s Jacob Sexton spoke to the media this week about playing Texas and what this game means so much to him.

What do you think heading into this Texas game?

Jacob: We’re fired up. You know, the team's excited and guys are ready to get out there. It’s another game. This one's a lot of fun so we're fired up for it.

What do you see in their defensive front and what are you going to be going against on Saturday?

Texas is a good team, there's a reason they are ranked so high but you know we've got to prepare the same way that we've been preparing. We go out there and dominate and do what we're coached to do.

Jake, your dad was a Texas guy. You were heavily recruited by Texas in addition to Oklahoma. Does having a personal background with UT in that sense make this game any more meaningful to you?

Jacob: You know, to me it's another football game. We’ve got to go out there and do what we're coached to do and that's dominate. So the guys are ready and we're fired up for it. It’s about establishing the run game. The team that runs the best usually wins this game.
