    NFL Drops News on Lamar Jackson After Ravens-Bengals Game

    Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens secured a wild overtime win in Week 5 over the rival Cincinnati Bengals.

    Jackson finished the game with a season-best 348 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions to go along with 55 yards on the ground.

    Through five games, the two-time MVP has accumulated 1,206 passing yards, 11 total touchdowns (two rushing), one interception and a passer rating of 107.2. He has added 72.6 rushing yards per game.

    For his performance on Sunday, the NFL has awarded Jackson with the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 5.

    "Jackson was in vintage form on Sunday, propelling his Baltimore Ravens past the Cincinnati Bengals, 41-38, in overtime," NFL.com's Grant Gordon wrote.

    Jackson was joined by Denver Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II and Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn as the conference's winners for last week. In the NFC, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney and New York Giants special teamer Isaiah Simmons took home Week 5 honors .

    According USA Today's Ravens Wire , Jackson has now won the award 11 times in his NFL career, including five times in his first MVP season in 2019.

    Baltimore is set to take on Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in Week 6. Kickoff on Sunday is set for 1 p.m. ET.
