Wisconsin football finally had what could be its breakout game of the Luke Fickell era. Thanks largely to quarterback Braedyn Locke, the Badgers (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) defeated the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday 52-6.

In UW's 18th-consecutive win over Purdue, Locke orchestrated the first 300+ yard passing performance by a Wisconsin quarterback since 2015. Thanks to a few explosive plays by wide receivers Vinny Anthony and Trech Kekahuna, the Badgers scored touchdowns on five consecutive drives across the first and second halves for a complete rout of the Boilermakers.

"Not to say we didn't make mistakes," the Rockwall, Texas native acknowledged Tuesday when detailing his team's improved performance. His focus is now on consistency; it's about continuing to grow. It's about getting a week better each and every week."

This week, the Wisconsin football team travels to Piscataway, New Jersey, for a Saturday matchup with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten). Kickoff is set for 11:00 AM central. You can watch the game on the Big Ten Network.
