Robert Spears-Jennings says this team ‘is pretty explosive this year’

Oklahoma’s Robert Spears-Jennings spoke to the media this week about what the Red River Rivalry game means to him and his take on the Texas defense.

Robert, being an Oklahoma kid, what does this game mean to you?

Robert: It means everything. The whole state is counting on us to win this game so we'll try to bring back the golden hat trophy.

Was this a game that growing up, you used to watch as a kid?

Robert: Yes, we would watch it every year. You turn it on first game on and then it just sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Do you have a favorite memory from watching the game growing up?

Robert: Probably when Trey Brown caught the game winning pick in overtime. That’s probably the biggest one right there just because he's from Tulsa.

What does Texas's offense present as a challenge?

Robert: Obviously, they're pretty explosive this year. They like taking shots, they can run the ball, they're good all around and they all have confidence in themselves.
