Billy Bowman Jr. says this team ‘will challenge us in every aspect’

Oklahoma’s Billy Bowman spoke to the media this week about the Texas offense and his favorite Red River Rivalry game moment.

Going up against those Texas receivers, how excited are you guys about that match up?

Billy: I'm very excited. It’s going to be a challenge because they have some great receivers and good depth. We’re not backing down from anyone so we're ready.

What are your thoughts on their offense as a whole? What do you see in Texas?

Billy: They are very explosive. They have two quarterbacks who can sling it. They’re accurate and they can throw it deep. They have guys who know what they're doing and are very composed. They have a great group of receivers who will challenge us in every aspect.

You have experienced a lot of highs and lows in this game specifically. What do you remember from the past few years?

Billy: I remember going in as a freshman, playing in my first Red River game. It was crazy, it was a wicked environment . Caleb Williams came in and saved the day. It was a great game. My sophomore year unfortunately I was hurt and couldn’t play. In my junior year, we bounced back and won at the last minute. That was probably my favorite Red River rivalry game.
