Big Ten Rival Attempting to Flip 2025 Wisconsin Commit

The Wisconsin football program has mostly turned the page to the 2026 recruiting class, but a Big Ten rival has swooped in, attempting to flip a 2025 Badgers commit.

Nolan Davenport, a three-star offensive tackle, announced on Tuesday that he had received an offer from Michigan.

According to the composite rankings, Davenport is the No. 716 player in the nation, the No. 54 OT, and the No. 27 player in Ohio.

Davenport is part of a five-man 2025 offensive line recruiting class for the Badgers alongside Hardy Watts, Logan Powell, Cam Clark, and Michael Roeske. Shortly after his official visit at the beginning of June, he announced his commitment to UW, becoming the second OL commit for AJ Blazek at the time.

The Massillon Washington High School standout has been putting together a strong senior season, helping the Tigers to a 5-2 overall record heading into the home stretch. Massillon Washington is looking to go back-to-back after winning the state championship last season with a perfect 16-0 record.

There's still over a month out from Early Signing Day, and the Badgers will be tasked with fending off a Big Ten blue blood and keeping Davenport's commitment.

As it stands, the Wisconsin football program's 2025 recruiting class is ranked as the No. 28 class in the country with 23 commits.
