Danny Kanell Reacts Strongly to Alabama Player's Public Apology After Vanderbilt Game

The Alabama Crimson Tide endured arguably the most shocking upset loss in Week 6 of the 2024 college football season when they suffered a 40-35 loss at the hands of the Vanderbilt Commodores.

After being ranked the number one team in the AP Top 25 poll earlier in the week, Alabama was widely expected to win this game, and when they were trailing late in the game, defensive back Malachi Moore had a meltdown that quickly went viral.

Moore threw his mouthpiece, refused to be subbed out of the game, and picked up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for kicking the football. The fifth-year defensive back publicly apologized for his actions on Monday, and that move drew a strong response from Danny Kanell.

It takes a lot to stand up and own your actions, especially when they aren't exactly a good look for you or your team, that's precisely what Moore did in the aftermath of this loss.

That means something in Kanell's eyes, as he shouted out Moore for apologizing for his actions and vowing to be better, as that's really the only way you can handle this adverse situation.

Moore won't be suspended by the Crimson Tide for his outburst, and will look to help his team get back on track in Week 7 when they take on South Carolina.
