One of the premier college football games of the season will take place in Week 7.

No. 1 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma will meet in Dallas for the Red River Rivalry on Oct. 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on ABC and will mark the first SEC meeting between the two programs.

The game itself doesn't need any additional fuel added to the fire. The unique atmosphere and hatred between the two schools make for one of the best experiences in college football.

In intense rivalries like Texas-Oklahoma, records and rankings can be thrown out the window. Last year, No. 3 Texas fell to No. 15 Oklahoma, 34-30, with under a minute left in the game.

The Longhorns are looking for revenge from last year's outcome.

Many college football analysts believe Texas will do just that. Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman of Pro Football Focus (PFF) revealed their score predictions for the Red River Rivalry on Wednesday.

Chadwick believes Texas will cover the 14.5-point spread and win 34-17. "The difference in this game is the passing games," Chadwick said. "Texas has one of the best aerial attacks in the country while Oklahoma’s has really struggled. With the Longhorns’ pass defense also playing lights out, the Sooners’ only chance is to make this as low-scoring as possible."

Wasserman feels similar, predicting the Longhorns to win 38-14. "Texas is currently the top-ranked team in the country for good reason," Wasserman began. "They have enough misdirection in their offense to bother a good Oklahoma defense. Oklahoma has struggled all year to score. The Longhorns take care of business."

If Steve Sarkisian's squad is able to get through the next two weeks with wins over No. 18 Oklahoma and No. 5 Georgia, the Longhorns would certainly prove their worth as the best team in the country.
