Fans in Disbelief Over Former NFL Coach's 'Frightening' Video

Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden is back in the spotlight, but it's not on the sidelines.

Lately, the 61-year-old has been ramping up his presence in the NFL content space, most notably on his "Gruden Loves Football" YouTube and TikTok channels.

One recent TikTok recapping quarterback play from Week 4 has left football fans in awe. His intense commentary and facial expressions took on the theme of "shredding" defenses and featured Jared Goff, Jayden Daniels, C.J. Stroud, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold.

"When I was calling plays, I just loved it when our quarterback shredded a defense, I mean, just ripped them," Gruden said to open the video clip. "That's what has me feeling really nicey."

A now-viral repost by The Ringer's Austin Gayle, in which he described Gruden's TikTok era as "frightening," has been viewed over six million times on X.

Fans are mostly in agreement, although some seemingly can't get enough of the Super Bowl-winning coach's eccentric antics.

"This is peak content whether you like it or not," someone added .

"Them filming this like a horror film is visionary," another commented .

"Jon Gruden is turning into Alex Jones of football," Barstool's "Billy Football" wrote .

"Jon Gruden on TikTok is electric," said the Bussin' With The Boys podcast account.

To date, Gruden has amassed over 60,000 followers on TikTok and over 160,000 on YouTube. He last coached in the NFL for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021.
