Although the College Football Playoff is still a few months away, people are beginning to predict which teams have a legitimate shot at making it.

The Missouri Tigers have been generating buzz for the College Football Playoff since the preseason, and this hadn't changed heading into last weekend's game. The Tigers were ranked No. 9 before the game but were defeated by the Texas A&M Aggies with a score of 41-10. The Tigers only managed to gain 254 yards of total offense and had six penalties during the game.

David Pollack revealed on his YouTube channel, "David Pollack College Football," that Missouri's trend of committing too many penalties and not making many big plays has become concerning.

"That has been a trend for Missouri," Pollack said. "They have been penalty-ridden. They have been explosive play lacking. Those are things we've seen, but the 2-0 start was easy, and then Boston College and Vandy and they struggled. Missouri's still got a favorable schedule down the stretch."

Missouri is currently ranked No. 102 in the country in plays over 20 yards with 18. The Tigers also rank No. 68 in the country in total penalties. Pollack feels they must clean this up to get back into College Football Playoff contention.

The Tigers have a manageable schedule for the remainder of the season, beginning with this weekend's game against Massachusetts. They will only face two currently ranked teams for the rest of the season: on the road against the Alabama Crimson Tide and at home against the Oklahoma Sooners.
