Jayson Tatum has been a magnet of criticism ever since he and the Boston Celtics won the 2023-24 NBA championship. Now, he continues to take more heat, this time for something he did involving LeBron James.

Following the Celtics' title win, fans were quick to take note of Tatum's "cringe" moments, as he imitated various NBA legends like Kobe Bryant , Kevin Garnett and Steph Curry while celebrating their victory.

Since then, his statements and actions have been put under the microscope, with detractors finding a way to hate on him for everything that he does.

On Thursday, Courtside Buzz shared a photo of Tatum posing at home, in front of a poster of himself dunking over LeBron James. The moment was from Game 7 of the 2018 Eastern Conference finals between the Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, which is actually one of the most memorable plays of the series.

Tatum was in his rookie year at the time, so dunking over James in such a big stage was definitely a massive highlight of his career. Having said that, it's not really surprising why he wanted something to remember the play.

Unfortunately for him, several critics took the post negatively, with many basically accusing him of simply seeking attention.

"He just like being hated," a commenter said. Another one shared, "This guy has been on some dumb [s**t] lately.."

A third angry social media user wrote, "this b**** is such an attention seeker."

    "-1000000 aura," a poster added.

A detractor reminded Tatum that the dunk was from a series that they lost, saying, "The year he bounced you is wild work."

Another follower wrote corn emojis to highlight how "corny" Tatum was for the gesture.

For what it's worth, Jayson Tatum and LeBron James joked about the dunk during their 2024 Olympic stint. While the Celtics star is probably just reminiscing about one of the highlights of his career, it's certainly quite unfortunate that other fans see it differently.
