While Alabama fans are still having a meltdown about the team's Week 6 loss to Vanderbilt, they likely have realized that Earth is still spinning.

If there's anything to be positive about following that game, it's that the Tide have star receiver Ryan Williams. Much like he did against Georgia, the 17-year-old came up with a fantastic late-game touchdown catch that saw him dance around defenders en route to a touchdown.

While it wasn't enough to win the game, it does have to give the fan base some sort of excitement about the future. However, on a recent episode of "The New Wave Pod," Williams revealed that he almost went to another SEC program, and it wasn't Auburn.

When asked who his runner-up was, Williams revealed that because of co-offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins, he did consider the Texas A&M Aggies.

While that certainly would have been a blow to Kalen DeBoer's first recruiting class, the Tide have to love the fact that Williams is in Tuscaloosa.

Through five games, Williams leads the team in every receiving category. He's racked up 19 catches for 544 yards and six scores, and is actually the only receiver with more than one touchdown class.

He and the Tide will look to turn things around against South Carolina on Saturday.
