Alabama Fans Rage Over Kalen DeBoer's T-Shirt After Vanderbilt Loss

The Alabama Crimson Tide suffered one of, if not the biggest upset of the college football season in Week 6. They somehow lost to the unranked Vanderbilt Commodores 35-40 in what was a thrilling contest throughout.

Quarterback Jalen Milroe even had a decent game, and Alabama nearly came back to steal the win away. But after throwing 18 for 24 for 310 yards, a touchdown, and an interception, it just wasn't enough to beat out the Commodores.

It's Alabama's first loss of the season and the first loss for new head coach Kalen DeBoer with the Crimson Tide. In the first opening weeks of the season, Crimson Tide fans were on cloud nine with how well the team played. Especially after the program pulled off a 41-34 win over the Georgia Bulldogs.

Since the Vanderbilt loss, it appears the support for DeBoer is fading. College Sports Only shared a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, showcasing some Alabama fans criticizing the head coach . However, rather than focusing on the soon-to-be 50-year-old coach's abilities, Crimson Tide fans raged over his wardrobe choice during the Week 6 loss.

The University of Alabama is one of the more proud programs in the nation. Tradition runs deep for this football team, as the uniforms have largely remained the same since the 1940s.

That expectation for tradition and wardrobe seemingly stems to the head coach as well. At least to the eyes of Alabama fans. However, the question remains, had the Crimson Tide beat Vanderbilt, would DeBoer's t-shirt even be a problem?

Alabama moves on to a Week 7 matchup against the unranked South Carolina Gamecocks. Typically, this would be a game many consider as an easy one for the Crimson Tide. But after being upset by Vanderbilt in Week 6, it's unclear how DeBoer's team will bounce back.

The expectation for this team remains the same, as the Alabama aims to make a College Football Playoff appearance. However, it might be tough sledding moving forward as the Crimson Tide have marquee matchups against Tennessee, Missouri, LSU, Oklahoma, and Auburn.

Luckily, Alabama is still ranked as the No. 7 program in the nation right now, keeping them firmly in the hunt for the postseason. It'll be interesting to see how DeBoer handles the pressure of coaching such a prestigious team moving forward.
