By the time Jim Schwartz had left the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020, his legacy in the city was complicated.

While he was the defensive coordinator on the team that won Super Bowl LII, the team's performance during that game, and the subsequent years after, left many complaining about his use of certain personnel.

Nevertheless, Philadelphia doesn't win their first Super Bowl without him.

With Schwartz now running the defense with the Cleveland Browns, the Eagles are preparing to see their former defensive play-caller in action on the other side of the field.

“He’s always had a really good defense,” Jalen Hurts said when asked about Schwartz on Wednesday after practice. “He’s a really good coach. High energy. I know he holds his defense to a high standard.

“He coaches and kind of rubs off himself to others, a good swagger. A lot of respect for him. Obviously, the Browns got great players, a great front seven, they have a great defense led by a great coach.”

Hurts was a part of the team during Schwartz's final year in Philadelphia. He will get a chance to see how his pressure-based unit responds to the Eagles high-octane offense.

At the very least, Eagle fans will enjoy the chass match coming out on Sunday.
