David Pollack played for the Georgia Bulldogs as a defensive lineman from 2002-04, winning the Chuck Bednarik Award for the Defensive Player of the Year, and was a Consensus All-American in 2004. Pollack is now a college football analyst.

During his final season in Athens, Georgia won 10 games and ended the year with a win over the Wisconsin Badgers in the Outback Bowl. Pollack recorded 52 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks in 2004.

"College GameDay" featured Pollack as a crew member from 2011-22, but the show let him go just before the start of the 2023 season. The crew now features Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, and Desmond Howard.

On a recent episode of the " David Pollack College Football " podcast, Pollack discussed some of the top games from the Week 7 slate and picked what he thought was a likely upset.

After the Alabama Crimson Tide, Tennessee Volunteers, Missouri Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, and USC Trojans lost recently, Pollack believed there was a "good chance" the No. 16 Utah Utes would suffer an upset loss to the Arizona State Sun Devils in Week 7.

Pollack credited the Sun Devils for their ability to stop the run, allowing 96 rushing yards per game, the third-most in the Big 12. The Utes currently average 181.8 rushing yards per game, the eighth-most in the conference.

The big question mark is Utah quarterback Cam Rising, who has missed the last three games with a hand injury. Rising was in pregame warmups during a recent game but did not play, leaving Pollack frustrated.

“I think this is a really good matchup because Arizona State, the one thing that they do well on the defensive side is stop the run," Pollack said. "...They are a run-centric team. Now, Cam Rising? I don't know, bro. Like, how many times is he gonna dress out and be on the sidelines and go through warmups? Like, he changes everything, but Arizona State can run the football. ...Friday night game. Weird things can happen."

Kickoff from Tempe is on Oct. 11 at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Utah is favored by five and a half points, per ESPN BET .
