Alabama Commit Akylin Dear Ranks Among the Top Running Backs in the 2025 Class

The 2025 recruiting class is loaded at the running back position, and the Alabama Crimson Tide are viewed as having one of the best.

Since Kalen DeBoer took over as head coach after Nick Saban's retirement, he has not shied away from recruiting. As a matter of fact, he's shown he can recruit with the best schools SEC, as Alabama as soared to the No. 2 recruiting class for 2025.

Within that class is a talented running back who is set to join the Tide next season. His skill set aims to continue the legendary success the Tide have had at the running back position in recent years.

On3 released a graphic on Thursday which featured the top running backs of the 2025 class , and Akylin Dear is currently ranked as the second-best in that class.

The Quitman High School (MS) product has been dominant during his season season, rushing for 819 yards and three touchdowns across six games. He has helped lead the Panthers to a 4-2 record on the year.

Dear is predicted to make an instant impact for the Tide at his position, and will be a solid foundation for the offense after this season.
