Following the 2024 Paris Olympics, most gymnastics fans want to know whether or not 11-time medalist Simone Biles will compete in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

And while Biles has admittedly not made a final decision about whether or not she will compete in those Games, her USA teammate Suni Lee appears to have reached a decision about whether she will or not.

In a recent Snapchat Q&A, Lee was asked point-blank by one follower if the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics were in her future, and her answer was likely not what her fans were hoping to hear.

“Everyone is asking this but guyssss my body hurts this sport kills me ahhh,” Lee wrote.

Lee’s remarks line up with what she recently revealed in an interview with Glamour.com , in which she confessed she’s taking a temporary hiatus from gymnastics following her move from her home state in Minnesota to New York to focus on a potential future in the fashion industry.

She even already plans to work with several high-profile brands in the beauty space including L’Oréal, and if her foray into fashion proves fruitful, Lee could leave gymnastics in the rearview.

“It’s always just been gymnastics, gymnastics, gymnastics, whereas right now it’s like, ‘Who is Suni outside gymnastics?’” Lee said. “She’s fun, she’s energetic, outgoing, very brave. But not a lot of people see that, and it’s something that I want to expand on more. I think fashion can be a really good way to express yourself.”

The 21-year-old had an impressive showing at the 2024 Games, taking home gold in the team final and bronze in the all-around and uneven bars, bringing her total Olympic medal count to six along with the gold she won in the all-around final, silver in team and bronze in uneven bars at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
