Patrik Laine’s Fiancée Shares Touching Message After Candiens' Ovation

Patrik Laine’s journey to the Montreal Canadiens was meant to be a fresh start after a roller-coaster NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets.

However, an injury in his second preseason game with the Habs cut his momentum short .

Despite the setback , Laine experienced a heartfelt moment during the Canadiens’ home opener that truly resonated with him—and his girlfriend Jordan Leigh had something to say about it.

Before the Canadiens’ 1–0 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Montreal crowd gave Laine a standing ovation as he was introduced alongside the team’s injured players.

After the game, Leigh took to Instagram to express her gratitude to the Canadiens fans.

In a heartfelt post, she shared how much the moment meant to both her and Laine, given the challenges they’ve faced over the past few years and most recently during the Habs offseason.

"Thank you for showing Pat so much love tonight," she wrote in her Instagram story. "It means the world to us. Habs family you are literally the best. Our hearts are so full after tonight."

The support from the Montreal fanbase has been uplifting for Laine, who has endured a string of difficult seasons and injuries. Now, he finds himself embraced by a city that’s eager to see him succeed.

Not only that, but the team is also making the most to include Laine in all activities and make him feel as conformable as possible while he rehabs his knee sprain looking at debuting with the team deeper into the season.
