Sabrina Carpenter is winning the hearts of Gen Z and young millennials, but unfortunately, she hasn't captured the attention of sports fans.

From her hit tracks like “Please Please Please” to "Espresso,” not to mention her sold-out concerts and popular TikTok challenges, the 25-year-old singer’s popularity is on the rise. In fact, she's on the way to becoming America’s newest pop superstar.

However, with all the fame and success, the 5-foot beauty is currently trending online in the sports world for bizarre reasons.

The “Sabrina Carpenter Curse” is going viral as the “Girl Meets World” star sparks speculation that she might be the new sports curse queen.

It seems the blonde beauty is poised to steal the title from Canadian rapper Drake, as the songstress has been spotted multiple times wearing a specific team’s jersey, only for them to end up losing the game. On September 25, Carpenter had a sold-out concert after performing at the Scotiabank Arena for her Short n’ Sweet Tour.

Attended by around 20,000 people, the hitmaker wore a bedazzled oversized blue Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. In an unexpected twist, following Carpenter’s concert, the Leafs faced a setback against the Montreal Canadiens during the season opener, suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first instance of the “Sabrina Carpenter Curse” making its presence felt. During her appearance at the Wells Fargo Center, she was sporting a custom-made, bedazzled jersey featuring "69," proudly supporting her hometown team, the Philadelphia Phillies.

Unfortunately, the Phillies were eliminated from the postseason after suffering a 4-1 loss to the New York Mets.

Due to this, a growing number of sports fanatics believe that there might be a “Sabrina Carpenter Curse.”
