Ohio State Takes Subtle Shot at Oregon with Epic Game Trailer

Week 7 of the 2024 college football season is upon us, and while there are a handful of big games in this slate, easily the biggest of the bunch will see Ohio State take on Oregon in a clash of two of the top ranked teams in the nation.

With the Buckeyes being ranked second and the Ducks ranked third in the latest AP Top 25 poll, this is going to be a heavyweight battle that could have massive College Football Playoff implications, even though we are only in October.

Excitement for this game is at an all-time high with kickoff just over 24 hours away, and the Buckeyes decided to capitalize on the hype by releasing their game trailer video. Fans were quick to note the Buckeyes taking a shot at the Ducks, as they had the video narrated by former quarterback Cardale Jones.

Jones spent three seasons playing for Ohio State, and of course, he is most well-known for leading the Buckeyes to victory in the 2015 National Championship Game over the Ducks.

By having Jones narrate this video, Ohio State is taking a quick dig at Oregon, while also hoping that they can channel Jones' spirit and pick up another big win over the Ducks when they take the field on Saturday.

Ohio State heads into this game as the favorite to win, despite the fact the game will be played in Eugene, Oregon. After opening as an early 2.5 favorite, the line has shifted ever so slightly, sitting at -3 in the Buckeyes favor as of Friday afternoon.

None of that will matter once these two squads take the field, though, and Ohio State will be hoping that Jones' appearance in this hype video will get the Buckeyes in the mood to pick up a massive win over the Ducks.
