Will Chiefs Trade For WR? Which 3 Big Names Fit?

The Kansas City Chiefs are undefeated heading into their bye week after defeating the New Orleans Saints on Monday night.

While the Chiefs are 5-0 for the first time since the 2018 season, the team hasn't had a flawless start to their season, especially on the injury front. The team has taken especially hard hit to their receiving unit. Both Marquise Brown and Rashee Rice are out for the remainder of the season.

While the offense was able to put together a strong performance on Monday, with JuJu Smith-Schuster finishing with over 100 receiving yards and Travis Kelce grabbing nine receptions, it's unclear if that unit will be sustainable for the remainder of the season, especially when the playoffs roll around.

The Chiefs were reportedly interested in exploring the trade market for a receiver. While the team is apparently out on All-Pro Davante Adams, there are plenty of other more affordable options that the team could pursue.

All-Pro receiver Deandre Hopkins is in the final year of his contract with the Tennessee Titans, and after their 1-3 start, the team could certainly look to dump his contract to a contender looking for a receiver. Hopkins would bring a reliable veteran presence to the Chiefs' offense.

Receiver Amari Cooper is in a similar situation with the Cleveland Browns. While Cooper has reportedly said he is not paying attention to trade rumors, it likely won't end up being his choice. Cooper has had a rough start to the year, but pairing up with Patrick Mahomes could be exactly what he needs.
