ESPN's legendary Lee Corso has gone on record before as saying that Eugene, Oregon is his favorite place to go to for 'College GameDay,' and that the Oregon Duck is his favorite mascot in all of college football.

In his 28 times making a pick on Oregon games with a mascot head, Corso has sided with the Ducks 21 times, and he has an impressive 14-7 record when choosing his feathered friend.

Unfortunately, Corso won't get that opportunity this weekend as Oregon hosts No. 2 Ohio State in Eugene for a top-five showdown. On Friday, ESPN's Rece Davis told USA Today's Zachary Neel that Corso would be missing his second-straight week of 'College GameDay' as he continues to get over an illness.

ESPN's Rece Davis did reveal that Corso wanted to send a message, and an apology, to his favorite mascot ahead of his absence, though.

After appearing on 'College GameDay' the first five weeks of the year, Corso missed his first show last week as the show set up shop in Berkley for the California Golden Bears game against the Miami Hurricanes.

At 89 years old, fans have shown concern for Corso and his health over the years, as it is very apparent on the show that he is starting to slow down quite a bit and let the other analysts on the show carry more of the weight.

Nonetheless, Corso is a beloved figure in college football and is always a pleasant sight on Saturday mornings, especially when the Oregon Ducks are involved. It will be sad to tune in this weekend and not see Corso goofing around and playing with his favorite mascot, but the two will hopefully be reunited sometime soon.
