Several teams' College Football Playoff chances took a major hit after being upset in Week 6. One of those teams was the Tennessee Volunteers.

Tennessee was ranked No. 4 and had just secured a major road win against the Oklahoma Sooners. However, they suffered a 19-14 defeat to the unranked Arkansas Razorbacks.

On the "Paul Finebaum Show," the SEC Network analyst said he still feels good about Tennessee's playoff chances. However, he feels the game against Alabama next week will play a major role.

"I think the odds are still good," Finebaum said. "I think that's why next week is so important. I know you hear that everywhere, but the Alabama game not only helps Tennessee but it hurts Alabama. Which could be Tennessee's major opponent for a spot."

Despite their recent loss, ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) still holds Tennessee in high regard, ranking them as the No. 6 team in the country. However, the FPI has lowered Tennessee's playoff chances to No. 11 in the country at 47.4%.

Before Tennessee can focus on its big game against the Crimson Tide, it must first defeat the Florida Gators in a rivalry game this weekend.

The game is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
