Pat McAfee’s Seven-Word Lee Corso Admission Amid Another 'College GameDay' Absence

Lee Corso was once again absent on ESPN's "College GameDay" as the crew was at Oregon ahead of the Big Ten clash between the Ducks and Ohio State in Week 7. Corso was still very much part of the program as the crew discussed the college football legend throughout the broadcast.

Professional hype man Pat McAfee took a break from his typical antics to send a more somber message about Corso. After hyping up the Oregon crowd, McAfee had a message about the "College GameDay" icon.

“Coach Corso, obviously we can’t wait for him to get back,” McAfee said during the Oct. 12 show. “Today’s a day that he would love.”

As for the marquee Week 7 matchup, Oregon is a 3-point home underdog versus Ohio State, per the DraftKings Sportsbook. This marks the first time these two historic programs have squared off as members of the Big Ten.

We look forward to seeing Corso back on the road, faking out the crowd and continuing the headgear tradition. ESPN faces a difficult decision with multiple Week 8 games to choose from.

The Texas Longhorns host the Georgia Bulldogs in the first SEC matchup of the series. Also, the Alabama Crimson Tide travel to take on the Tennessee Volunteers in an SEC rivalry game as well. Regardless of the location, we hope Corso is back on the set.
