The Duck Sprays Silly String on Reports That Burch May Be Out for Ohio State at Oregon

Nick Saban lauded Pete Thamel's focus and discipline as The Oregon Duck pelted the ESPN reporter with silly string as he tried to deliver the injury report for today's college football games.

As Thamel delivered the bad news that star defensive end Jordan Burch will test a noncontact injury during warmups, The Duck pelted him with green goo from a can in an attempt to ward off the news.

Thamel stayed professional and in spite of the irrepressible mascot's antics, the news got delivered. The video will no doubt go down as one of the iconic Duck moments, like the time he body-slammed the Houston Cougar mascot, parodied Deion Sanders, ate chips with a cutout of Justin Bieber on the sideline in a lawn chair, or spun an "O" shaped cookie on the Big Ten lawn.

The levity couldn't obscure the gravity of Thamel's scoop. Jordan Burch is the most talented player on the Oregon defense, a group that has a monumental challenge tonight in Autzen Stadium. Dan Lanning will have to deliver an epic pregame speech to focus them for the mental and physical grind of taking on the nation's #4 offense (46 points a game) and #1 defense (6.8 points a game.) The Buckeyes are three-point favorites on the ESPN website.
